Spatial Power Spectral Analysis of the Suzaku X-Ray Background

چکیده

Power spectra of spatial fluctuations X-ray emission may impose constraints on the origins independent that from energy spectra. We generated power spectrum densities (PSD) blank skies observed with Suzaku observatory utilizing modified $\Delta$-variance method. Using total measured count rate as diagnostic tool, we found a model consisting sum two components, one for unresolved faint point sources and uniform flat-field emission, can well represent PSD in three different bands (0.2-0.5 keV, 0.5-2 2-10 keV); only an upper limit is obtained latter component keV. counting rates corresponding to best-fit functions diffuse fractions were estimated, confirmed components consistent those actually detector all bands. The ratio however, significantly larger than fraction estimated fits discussed this discrepancy be reconciled by systematic effects analyses. present study demonstrates powerful constraining emission.

Supergiant X-ray binaries observed by Suzaku

Suzaku observations are presented for the high-mass X-ray binaries IGR 116207-5129 and IGR 117391-3021. For IGR 116207-5129, we provide the first X-ray broadband (0.5-60 keY) spectrum from which we confirm a large intrinsic column density (NH = 1.6 X 1023 cm-2), and we constrain the cutoff energy for the first time (Ecut = 19 keY). A prolonged (> 30 ks) attenuation of the X-ray flux was observe...

Spectral Study of the Galactic Ridge X-ray Emission with Suzaku

We have observed a typical Galactic plane field at (l, b) = (2846,−020) with Suzaku for 100 ksec to carry out a precise spectral study of the Galactic Ridge X-ray Emission (GRXE). The field is known to be devoid of X-ray point sources brighter than ∼2×10ergs s cm (2–10 keV), and already deeply observed with Chandra. Thanks to the low and stable background and high spectral resolution of Suzaku,...

Study of the Spectral and Temporal Characteristics of X-ray Emission of the Gamma-ray Binary Ls 5039 with Suzaku

We report on the results from Suzaku broadband X-ray observations of the galactic binary source LS 5039. The Suzaku data, which have continuous coverage of more than one orbital period, show strong modulation of the X-ray emission at the orbital period of this TeV gamma-ray emitting system. The X-ray emission shows a minimum at orbital phase ∼ 0.1, close to the so-called superior conjunction of...
